The Longest Night: Five Curious Tales was the first Curious Tales book.

An anthology of Christmas ghost stories, The Longest Night features an introduction from Ghostwatch creator Stephen Volk, and fiction from Alison Moore, Jenn Ashworth, Tom Fletcher, Emma Jane Unsworth and Richard V. Hirst, with each story fully illutrated by Beth Ward.

The book received a limited print-run of 300 copies and was accompanied by a series of atmospheric winter readings.
