Alison Flood first learned about the books world and how it worked at the Bookseller, where she was news editor. She has worked for the Guardian since 2008, covering books news as well as blogging and interviewing as many authors as she can. She also reviews thrillers for the Observer, and science fiction and fantasy for the Sunday Times. She lives in Oslo.
